Love Illustrated as blogged by Cosmopolitan!

29 Sep

As if the glorious sunshine we’re currently enjoying here in the UK wasn’t enough to make us merry, today one of our designs has been blogged by the fabulous Cosmopolitan Magazine!

We drew this Save The Date for the gorgeous Suzy, Deputy Editor of Cosmopolitan, a few months ago, and she only went and blogged about it! She’s writing a weekly blog charting her weight loss up until her wedding date – it’s hilarious (and completely inspiring) and you can read all about it and see our write-up here.

The organisers of the show say “Following the phenomenal success of its debut show earlier this year, The Designer Vintage Bridal Show is back, bigger and better and packed full of home-grown bridal talent. Berrow Court in Birmingham plays host to the 2-day event where guests can wander through the house and gardens and choose from vintage inspired, designer pieces from bridal gowns to boudoir style underwear, from head to toe, from brand new to vintage originals, from fashion shows to afternoon tea and all nicely wrapped up with entertainment and a chance to meet and talk to the experts.”

As well seeing our fantastic stationery up close and personal (and getting the chance to win your Save The Dates – I’ll be posting about this soon!) there’ll be lots of vintage pretty on display from oodles of other fabulous wedding suppliers. There will also be the unique chance to hobnob with five of the wedding world’s most respected UK bloggers: Kat from Rock ‘n Roll Bride, Annabel from Love My Dress, Amma from Beyond Beyond, Alexis from OMG I’m Getting Married and Kelly from The Boho Wedding Blog, giving you the chance to pick the brains of these wedding gurus in person.

To enter, post a comment on our Facebook page under the link to this blog post, and then tweet us at @loveillustrated to let us know why you’d like to win. We’ll randomly select a winner on Friday 30th September, but if you don’t win, you can get hold of tickets here. We’re really looking forward to meeting some of you, so do pop by and say hi!

Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride Party – What happens when wedding bloggers hit the town!

15 Apr

So, it’s 8pm and here at Love Illustrated Towers, we are just about recovering from the fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride party last night, hosted by the gorgeous Kat Williams.

Understandably, photographic evidence is still sketchy as people are wrestling with hangovers (yes, I’m talking to you, people who were out until 5am) but check out this fantastic video from the lovely Richard Wakefield at FX Films. Love Illustrated are featured in the first 30 seconds – first time I’ve ever been stopped on Regent Street to have my photo taken with a vintage camera!

There were many highlights of the evening for us, including putting actual faces to many of our twitter pals, meeting our wedding photographers again (the amazing David McNeil & AnnaMarie Stepney), eating the most rocking cupcakes we’ve ever seen, drinking pink gin fizz concoctions out of paint tins, marvelling at the ultra-glam outfits (Kat from Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride and Annabel from Love My Dress in particular putting the rest of us to shame!) and receiving some very sound business advice from some very sound people.

Many thanks to Kat for arranging such an amazing evening. It was lovely meeting everyone, and hopefully we’ll see much more of some of you in the future!
